LepTree Terms of Use and Copyright Policy

Policy for Users
All text on Leptree.net is provided under Creative Commons BY-NC licensing agreement,
unless otherwise indicated. This means users should respect the rights of the contributors
and to abide by the re-use terms specified in this creative commons license, which allows
the user to copy, transmit and reuse the information, and to remix or adapt the information
for non-commercial purposes, as long as attribution regarding the source of the information
is maintained.

All images displayed in LepTree.net have all rights reserved unless specified otherwise
with a Creative Commons license link symbol:
[CC symbol]
For any All Rights Reserved image the user is required to contact the copyright holder
or source for permission to reuse. Users who wish to reuse images with creative commons
licensing agreements should abide by the specifics of the particular agreement indicated.

Policy for authors
For text contributions:
Text content contributed to LepTree is considered to be open access. In contributing
material to LepTree, the content provider retains the copyright for his contribution, and
agrees to allow users to copy, transmit and reuse the information, and to remix or adapt
the information, as long as proper attribution regarding the source of the information
is maintained, and the new work is not used for commercial purposes. This is a default
Creative Commons BY-NC licensing agreement

Please contact us if you have any concerns about this policy.

Photos and figures:
All contributions should include the source of the material and/or copyright information
in the image caption.

If you are the copyright holder of the image you are submitting we ask that you consider
licensing your contribution for public use with a creative commons license CC-BY-NC
(attribution), which allows users to copy, transmit and reuse the information, and to
remix or adapt the information for non-commercial purposes, as long as attribution
regarding the source of the information is maintained. See creative commons–for full
information on this, and other, creative commons licensing agreements. Authors may
request an alternative creative commons license: CC-BY, CC-BY-SA, CC-BY-NC-SA, or
they may retain all rights on their contribution; please contact LepTree Tech for support.
To indicate a licensing agreement to the public, authors should add the web link provided
by creative commons to the caption of the image. Images with no licensing specifications
will be considered to have all rights reserved, in which case users will need to contact
the copyright holder for permission to reuse in any form.

If you are not the copyright holder, but submit an already copyrighted figure or photo,
you cannot yourself provide a license for that contribution, and you contribute it to
LepTree under a “fair use” policy at your own risk. If there are objections from the
copyright holder, LepTree will remove the contribution from the site.
